Feathered Wreath

I decided I needed a wreath for my front door, and instead of going with an Autumn styled wreath I decided to make it more for Halloween. I love Feathers, and if were up to me I would feather everything... ok, maybe not everything, but I do love feathers! I went with a feather theme for my wreath, and here ya have it!

~Black Feathered Up Wreath~ Posh Style of course!

I first wrapped a black feather boa around the Styrofoam wreath, so that I had an area to tuck the feathers into as I placed them on the wreath. I added additional securing of the feathers with a little hot glue (which is MESSY with feathers) and some wire. I used 2 bags of feathers.

That's it!

This picture shows the true color better. It was hard to snap pictures this evening with the sun setting on the door. It muted the black a little.

I would give you a picture of the entire porch, but I don't want to spoil any surprises before the Posh Porch Party.

I was going to put the crow on the wreath someplace, but I couldn't find a good position.. so I think he looks pretty good here, don't you agree?
