My Top 2009 Projects

I only wish I had a top ten from 2009, but I don't. I just started this blog in July, and nothing before that was really followed with the camera.

Here it goes.. my favorite 2009  projects in the last seven months or so.

My daughter had an awful looking storage box that I was ready to send to the trash. My husband made this for her when she was just a baby, but I was in charge of the painted and royally screwed it up. The texture was awful, and the stencils.... even worse. I have her a little makeover!

So much better! I think I will keep her now!

One of the first projects I did when I started this blog was finish the bench that I bought on craigslist, months before. I wanted it to match my dining room table which is black.

It turned out pretty good, and it looks like it came with the dining table!

I had debated for a long time on what I wanted to do with our eating nook area. It is really too small to have a little table, even though that is what it was designed for. We enjoy being able to walk through there without having a table in the way. We decided to build a window seat to add additional seating, storage and without compromising the space.

I love this addition so much. It turned out just like we wanted, and so far has worked great when we have people over and we are in the kitchen.

Sharing this with Southern Hospitality Top 10 Projects of 2009. Head over for more 2009 Fun!

I will be back this afternoon for a few more projects that I did this week! Stay tuned!

I love the window seat in your eating nook! We built a one in ours too and it's great to have a place for people to hang out while I'm cooking. The storage box turned out so cute too!
