Fake Blooming Branches & Flower Tutorial

I hope you are all having a great weekend. The weather around here has been nice, and you can definitly tell that Spring is here! I have had a few questions about the flowers that I made for the paper flower wreath, and so I decided to do another project using them, and show you a little tutorial of how I made them.

First I went out back and clipped a small handful of branches off a tree in the back. The branches are
non-blooming branches and so I decided to make my own blooms.

There are several tutorials online for making flowers, and the tutorial that I followed was something like this one below that I am creating for you. I cant remember where I found the tutorial, but this is basically all that I did to create these flowers.

Start cutting in a circle, around and around towards the inside of your circle like the pictures below. You can use regular scissors too, but the curved ones give the flower more texture.

After you have cut around and around to the very middle you should have something like this below.

Now start rolling, from the outside until you have rolled it all the way to the middle.

All done!

Now, to fake a blooming branch...

Have a great weekend everyone! Don't forget to stop by this week for the Bring In The Spring party! I will put the linky up the night before.

How cute is that? I bet they would look great with tissue paper flowers. Darn it! Now I have something else to do besides the laundry!
