Thank you so much Shannon for having me over to Posh Pieces.  I can usually be found at

I'm always looking for inexpensive artwork to decorate my home and have just fallen in love with the inspirational prints that have become so popular.  I've never been able to decide on which prints to get and thought "Hey, I can do that".

So here we go, let's Decoupage our Dreams with inspirational wall art.

Materials:
Woodend Frame (Joann's Fabrics $4.99)
Mod Podge (Michael's $5.49)
Scrapbooking or Other Decorative Paper (Michael's $0.59/ea.)
Vinyl Word Art (Michael's $1.49)
Coordinating Acrylic Paint (optional)
Other Embellishments (Rhinestones, Flowers, Ribbon, etc., optional)

Tools:
Paint or Sponge Brush
Pencil
X-Acto Knife or Scissors

Step One: After you disassemble your frame trace the outside of the frame on to the paper. Don't forget to trace the inside of the frame too.

Step Two: With your X-Acto knife or scissors cut out the frame outline you just traced.

Step Three: Coat the top side of your frame with a thin, even layer of Mod Podge.  Carefully adhere your paper cut out to the top of the frame and smooth out any air bubble that may appear.
Step Three B: After placing your paper on the frame and removing any air bubbles, coat the paper with another thin, even layer of Mod Podge.  Allow frame to dry for 15 to 20 minutes.  After the first coat drys, add a second coat and allow to dry for another 15 to 20 minutes.

Step Four: Embellish your frame. This is the fun part, you can use flowers, glitter glue, rhinestones, ribbon, etc.  I used these adorable vinyl letters I found at Michael's and my favorite Hot Fixx Jolee rhinestones.

Step Five: Place your favorite inspirational quote or photo into your completed frame and re-assemble your frame.  I made a collage at Photovisi.com of my favorite pink things from my Etsy Shop to remind me of what is possible if I continue to dream.

Tips:
To keep your frame from becoming tacky, coat with a thin layer of clear sealer.  I used an acrylic sealer by Craft Smart.
Print quotes or photos on high quality, acid-free photo paper (matte or glossy).
Wordle.net is a great place to make custom inspirational word clouds and it's free!

Thanks for having me over Shannon, this was so much fun.  I hope you all enjoy creating your own decoupage frames.  Make sure to visit me at Tweedle Dee Designs for fabulous party inspiration, printable party supplies, Fairytale Tutus, You Can Do It projects and more!

I have all the materials for this!!
Every year I give small scrapbooks to friends and family as gifts. I use the pictures I have taken over the year to make a personal scrapbook for each person.
This picture frame idea is wonderful! And the colors are really pretty. Thanks for this!! Glad I stopped in!
