Stylish And Organized Kids Closets

One of the things I listed on my 11 in 2011 list is to get organized.. specifically my kids closet space. My sons closet hasn't changed, other than adding more clothes, since he was born. He spends most of his day down stairs playing, so I have been reluctant to move toys into his room fearing that he wont go up there to play. However... He has a lot of toys, and I am ready to reclaim some of my living room.

As I prepare to tackle my sons closet, I did what we all do, and searched for some inspiration..

This is one of my favorites (above) I love the drawers in the middle separating the clothes with plenty of room for books and toys above.

I love how clean and simple this one looks.

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!
I love this closet without the door. Loads of storage!

So, I wont be creating a playroom with my closet, but it sure looks like a lot of fun. :-)

I bought a few storage bins this weekend, and  plan to get started this week. After searching for some inspiration I am rethinking my original plan now. I will post some pictures as I get started this week.

Still time to link up to the 11 in 2011.. 11 things you hope to accomplish in 2011. I know you have goals this year.. so stop by and share some. :-)
 Have a great Monday!

Great inspiration. My son is a teenager...so even if his closet looked like those above...it would probably only last for a day or two. Can't wait to see your project.

I can't wait to see what you do! I've been needing to do something with my daughter's closet for months now and I never found just the right inspiration. Good luck!

All those closets look great. Some good inspiration. I have just been buying more storage for all my kids toys and we have just finished having a walk in robe built which we now need to fit out. G

LOVE the playroom closet! What a cute idea. Of course that's assuming you don't need a closet for storage. OH if only too much closet space was a problem I had!

I removed the doors on my 7yo's closet. And then I removed the doors on one of MY bedroom closets. Then I removed the doors on our entryway coat closet. There's no stopping me! Of course the closets have to stay tidy, you know if you care!! LOL! It forces me to keep things in order...at least in the closet dept!!! Without the doors there is an airy open clean feeling to the room!

Love these inspiring photos! I still have to do my 10 yo's closet. Of course the doors will be removed first!

Can't wait to see what you do!

I was directed here via Shelley Smith's (House of Smiths) article on homes.com. I absolutely love your closet inspiration pics - great taste. My boys' closets have been on my mind as of late and they are in dire need of more storage-savvy solutions...this is a great start for ideas...glad I stopped by. New follower!
